The Journey Blog

Lindsey has started writing a weekly blog on her myspace called The Journey. As the public, we only generally see the finished product, when the artist is looking all glossy and fabulous and releasing their first single with the backing of some much needed money. But how did they get there, what went in to the journey?

Lindsey explains the reason behind 'Vision Impossible'

Vision Impossible was one of those songs that you write in a matter of minutes. Just an overspill of emotions you didn't even know were in you and before you know it they have all taken shape in melody and song. And those emotions certainly came from a very real place, as you'd imagine a song about eating disorders would.

Unfortunately we live in a broken world and no more do I see this than when I see beautiful women feel the need to starve themselves, binge and throw up or beat themselves up by comparing themselves to other women, be it their mates or women in the magazines.

Watching one friend in particular fall further and further in to this trap and the frustration I felt lead me to write this song.

My hope is that women who are going through the same thing as my very precious friend would find some sort of healing in this song. And that hopefully they will eventually realise what they are looking for is not found in a size 8.

Lindsey currently recording new material
