A naturally talented performer, it becomes obvious when you first hear Lindsey's voice that she has a soul and a class that has been nurtured over the years, complimented by a rawness that reflects her passionate personality. But it's not only her voice and obvious charisma on stage that is wowing audiences across the UK, but also her song writing abilities and the brutal honesty that goes in to each carefully crafted song.
Lindsey wrote her first song at the ripe old age of 7! Lindsey says,
"Me and my best mate used to get together after school for our 'song writing sessions' which consisted of the two of us sitting in my bedroom in silence writing and then performing our newly penned lyrics on my orange Fisher Price microphone! My first song was called 'L L L Love Chase' - a classic by any 7 year old's standards!"
Things have certainly developed since those days. Although Lindsey's songs today have keep that childhood honesty, and lack of pretence, these days she speaks with an intelligence and emotional sensitivity that one can only gain through significant life experiences.
One of those life experiences was her move from her native Suffolk to Liverpool in 2000 to study music at Sir Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts.
"Going to LIPA was one of those life changing moments. I loved just being around musicians and creative people all day. Having the opportunity to spend 3 years learning and developing your craft is pretty precious and LIPA is a very special place. Its like a big family!"
During her time at LIPA Lindsey not only developed her skills as a songwriter and performer but also joined two of the UK's most successful gospel choirs, 'Love and Joy' and 'Sanctified' and began to start taking on session work, providing vocals for various artists and shows such as Atomic Kitten, Michael Ball, Sean Escoffery, Australian Pink Floyd, Top of the Pops, Fame Academy and the Eurovision Song Contest.
"I have to say, the high light of all the jobs I've done would have to be meeting Terry Wogan-legend!"
These jobs, aside from being quite a laugh, gave Lindsey her first insight in to the music industry.
"I've been fortunate enough to be able to observe how things work from an outside perspective, not being the artist itself."
